Should circumstances require, we reserve the right to accommodate you in alternative hotels, of a similar standard, nearby. Full details of your hotels will be sent with your Final Travel Documents.
Mode of Transport
Travel comfortably with coach transfers throughout the tour, including a scenic drive to the Cotswolds and a guided tour of Bath. Enjoy a canal boat cruise around Bristol's harbour, and make your own way to and from Bristol for the start and end of the tour.

Travelling to Europe
Rules may have changed since you last travelled to European Union countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The following are useful guidelines which will help you prepare for your next adventure. You do require government issued passport to travel.


Names - It is very important that all passenger names are exactly as per your passport although we do not require middle names.


Passport - Your passport must meet two requirements to travel to an EU country and to Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. It must be: Less than 10 years old on the day you return home (please check the "date of issue") and valid for at least 3 months after the day you return home (please check the "expiry date").


Visa - You do not need a visa for short trips to most EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. You’ll be able to stay for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period.


European Entry/Exit Scheme (EES) - EES is the new electronic entry/exit system for European countries which will replace the physical stamping of your passport. The expected date for its introduction is 10 November 2024. From this date, it means that when you go through passport control on arrival, you will need to produce your passport for checking as you do now, but also have your photograph taken and fingerprints scanned. The system will register your entry on arrival and your exit when departing. You will only need to do this on your first entry into Europe after the scheme starts.Please note: Irish passport holders or British Passport holders with an EU residency are currently excluded. For those travelling via Eurostar, there is a dual British and French/Belgian) border in operational at St Pancras International. Therefore the EES system will be in place at the station, you will not need to be checked again on arrival at the other side. For further information please visit the ABTA website here.European Travel Information & Authorisation System (ETIAS) - Due to commence in 2025, all citizens of the United Kingdom will require a ETIAS electronic form completed prior to their arrival into the EU and Schengen member countries. The cost for this travel authorisation will be €7.00 per person with exceptions for under 18’s and over 70’s. The latest information and further details can be found at www.etias.com.

After breakfast, you’ll get on the coach for the quick journey into the heart of Bristol.Here, you’ll have some free time to do some last-minute Christmas shopping or perhaps visit Vintage Winter Wonderland in Millennium Square. With a selection of rides and places to eat, why not purchase a cup of mulled wine and take a ride to enjoy spectacular views over the glittering city and its rooftops?Towering over the market, a 15-metre-tall Ferris wheel can be found, decked with lights and ornaments. For an easy-going morning’s excursion, you can set out for a walk around the local area, or perhaps drive into nearby Bristol for a wander along the Avon waterfront. If relaxation is on your mind, you can also enjoy a treatment or two in the hotel’s award-winning spa. In the early afternoon, join your fellow guests at the hotel restaurant for a ‘Bucks Fizz’ reception with canapés before settling in for an indulgent Christmas lunch. Afterwards, you’ll have another few hours at leisure to spend as you wish ahead of a Christmas buffet later this evening.

Have breakfast and then board the coach for an excursion to the nearby city of Bath, UNESCO-listed and named after its ancient Roman-built baths. The Roman Baths, which were built around 70 AD can be viewed along with a museum displaying artefacts from that period. A towering Gothic-style cathedral, Bath Abbey, will be another stop, as will Pulteney Bridge, one of only a few historic bridges in the world with shops built into it on both sides. You’ll also get to see the iconic Royal Crescent, a semi-circular row of 30 terraced houses looking out over the Royal Victoria Park and the city.You’ll then board the coach and return to the hotel to unwind. This evening, a pre-dinner drink of Prosecco and nibbles will be offered before a three-course dinner enhanced by entertainment.

Yes, there is free time for shopping and exploring. On Christmas Eve, you have free time to visit Bristol's Christmas market and do some last-minute shopping. Additionally, there is leisure time to discover the centre of Bath and its landmarks.
Your health and safety are pivotal to our operations, and every customer travelling on a tour with us must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Fully vaccinated means that you have had the full course of an approved vaccine a minimum of 14 days prior to your holiday. We also recommend that you travel with proof that you’ve been fully vaccinated.
On Christmas Day, you will enjoy a scenic drive into the Cotswolds, visiting the market towns of Stroud and Painswick. The day includes a 'Bucks Fizz' reception with canapés and a Christmas lunch at the hotel, followed by a Christmas buffet in the evening.
During the canal boat cruise in Bristol, you will glide around the harbour while listening to commentary about the city's maritime history. You will also spot major landmarks such as Bristol Cathedral, Bristol Aquarium, and the M Shed Museum.
