Charlottetown is the island’s modest capital and its streets are lined with redbrick Victorian houses and buildings and lots of leafy parkland. If you wander through the old part of town you’ll come across museums, the impressive mock-Gothic cathedral and plenty of cute eateries.<br/>You might like to book an excursion to visit the house and farm that inspired the beloved novel ‘Anne of Green Gables’; take a panoramic island drive; or step back in time with a visit to one of the island’s authentic lighthouses.

Keep your camera at the ready to catch a souvenir photo of a whale steaming through the waves.

This morning we disembark and then take in some of Québec City’s highlights on a guided sightseeing tour. This morning, we'll enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Montréal. Montréal is one-part Canadian charm, one-part French heart. The result is a thriving metropolis where old meets new. You’ll see 18th-century façades and heritage churches mixed in with glamorous shopfronts. <br/>There is free time for lunch, then we cross over into Ontario and the city of Ottawa, where we’ll get our bearings on a sightseeing tour. We’ll see the parliament buildings, picturesque parks and UNESCO-listed canals that interlink Ottawa and Kingston.

We drive towards Kingston, stopping en route to experience a spectacular archipelago made up of over 1,800 picturesque islands straddling the Canadian and US border. Once the mighty peaks of ancient mountains, they give the area a mystical feeling. These evergreen jewels range in size, some house opulent 19th-century summer mansions, some just big enough to host a few trees. The famous Boldt Castle, Zavikon Island, and Millionaire’s Row are only a taste of the adventure on this afternoon’s boat cruise in the heart of the Thousand Islands.<br/>We’ll then continue on to Kingston for the evening, the one-time Canadian capital. With a slew of refined Victorian mansions and limestone architecture, the city has retained a real historical charm which is a pleasure to explore.

Sweeping expanses of fragrant lavender fields, windswept shorelines and rural rolling hills dotted with wineries. The area is a hub for wine production and we’ll stop by a local winery at lunchtime for a tour and tasting.<br/>We then continue to Toronto.

We’ll make our way to the wonder of nature, Niagara Falls, where we'll have the chance to see the spectacle of the Falls up close and witness more than 3,000 tons of water tumbling over the Falls each second. Plumes of mist rise for hundreds of metres, engulfing anyone who approaches.<br/>We then head to Niagara-on-the-Lake, one of the best-preserved 19th-century towns in North America. It’s a pleasure to wander along the tree-lined boulevards, through sweeping parkland or browse the quaint antique shops, before heading back to Toronto.
