Today we include an excursion to some of the interesting towns on Lake Garda on our included tour along the shores of the lake. Our tour takes us along the eastern side of the lake where we visit the town of Lazise, then continue to Sirmione where there will be free time to explore. During your time in Sirmione, there will also be the opportunity to sail along the Sirmione peninsula on our optional peninsula cruise. We return along the eastern shore, by coach, pausing at Garda, the principal town of the area.

Today we travel by coach and by boat into the heart of Venice, to join the famous Venice Carnival celebrations. Venice Carnival is thought to date from at least the 13th century, and today’s Carnival celebrates traditions such as opulent balls and costumes, masks, storytelling, music, and dance. You will have free time to explore the sights of Venice and enjoy the day’s festivities.

Today we have an included excursion to the beautiful Roman city of Verona, setting for William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. To introduce you to the city’s array of spectacular sights, why not join our optional guided walking tour? You will have time at leisure to browse amongst the shops or take a coffee break in one of the many cafés in Piazza Bra overlooking the arena.
