We have a day at leisure to relax and explore Valkenburg’s quaint cobbled streets and pretty buildings. Situated at the crossroads of three countries, Valkenburg has long been a favourite destination on account of its exuberance and extremely varied appeal. Valkenburg, or 'the Marlstone Town' as it is known locally, is famous for its castle and the elaborate system of Roman caves and tunnels which run beneath the town. Explore the quaint cobbled streets and beautiful buildings of this enchanting fortified town, or alternatively, relax with a glass of the local white beer.

Join our included excursion as we travel to the Drielandenpunt (Three Country Point), near to the town of Vaals and where the borders of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands all meet. There will be a short amount of time here to take photos and explore before we continue into Germany. We visit the nearby city of Aachen, famous for its magnificent cathedral and the Elisenbrunnen fountain, which is also the symbol of the city. There will be free time here for you to explore before we return to the hotel in time for your evening meal.
